Cine-choreographic installation by Sarah Friedland in residence with The Bellwether. Collaboration with Diane Zhou (illustrator), Jenny Sevy (dancer), and Assaf Gidron (sound designer and electronic musician).
Part-video supercut, part-dance notation and part-live choreography jam, action! investigated how genre itself is a choreography. action! was a moving typology of genre film gestures that simultaneously deconstructed my method of dance-making.
